Extended examples of the use of technology within my research -
Facebook
When conducting audience research i used social networking sites to post surveys that i created on survey monkey. By posting it to Facebook the demographic was of a young teenage to adult age meaning i could collect information from our target audience effectively. i was also able to collect data instantly as responses were made quickly as opposed to various other ways of distributing questionnaires that would take longer to receive the responses.
YouTube & iMovie
YouTube allowed me to have assess to various film trailers that i could analyse as part of my research into the genre, it also allowed me to present my work on iMovie easily and to a wide audience. Both formats created and shared video sequences that i could easily post and move each video across my blog. However the limitations include the lack of interaction for the audience viewing the video sequence and also the problems when converting sound and voice overs onto YouTube.

AUDIENCE FEEDBACK QUESTION
Audience feedback is vital to every stage of research, planning and production as it shapes the final product. In order to create a successful high quality trailer we collected audience feedback at each stage to ensure our trailer and ancillary products appealed to our target audience. Examples include focus group interviews concerning the expectations of the genre and survey's about how my target audience prefers to view trailers. Through gaining this key information we were able to produce a high quality trailer that once reshot, met the expectations of our audience.
We also used survey monkey frequently to gain the opinion of our target audience on each stage of our research and planning and production
Audience feedback for our trailer
We interviewed members of our target audience to get their feedback on our final trailer, this feedback will enable us to further improve our trailer and also to ensure that we are conforming our prospective audience expectations. Although through conducting surveys, our prospective audience identified that as a convention, they expected drug use within the genre. However in order to respect the age of our target audience and age appropriate viewing, we decided to remove this from our trailer.
